One Dress 3 Ways

I found this basic, olive green dress at Goodwill for $5, and even though by itself it's a plain, boring dress, my imagination ran wild when I saw it! I pictured so many different pieces with it! It's also a great example of how to transition a summer sleeveless dress into a fall dress! During my lunch break, I threw together 3 different ways to wear this dress.
This is what I wore to school today. (The scarf is brown..just doesn't look like it in this light!)
Here's the 3 different ways I styled this dress...literally I did this in 5 minutes, but if I had more time, I could've come up with 20!(The first picture is just to show you how basic and plain it is alone...)

Pinspired: Green & Cobalt

I am always looking for new ways to wear my favorite green skirt. Pinterest is such a great help in getting color inspirations and style ideas! It's where I go when I look at my closet and say, "I have NO idea what to wear with this item!" I always come away with NUMEROUS outfit ideas. So, I use pinterest as a search engine, and search whatever piece I want to wear, and thousands of outfits will come up! I love you, pinterest creator! Here's the pinned outfit from Mix & Match Fashion that inspired today's outfit.



My favorite outfits always consist of a colored pencil skirt, striped shirt, & a cardigan. I am obsessed with striped shirts, I probably have over 15...I love that they can be dressed up for church or work and then dressed down with a simple jean skirt and flats.

Maxis & Monograms

Happy Friday! TGIF (Can you tell I'm a teacher?!) ;) Yesterday, when I was out looking for a nightstand for my bedroom at K-Mart, I moseyed my way over to the clothing section to see what was going on...
(I hadn't been in K-Mart in forever!) Luckily, they were having a huge sale, and I found the PERFECT fall maxi dress for $9! I'll be honest, I usually hate how maxi dresses/skirts look on me, and I almost didn't try this one on! But, I'm so glad I did, because it fits me great!
Many ladies have asked me if they could wear maxi dresses/skirts in the fall. The answer would be yes! Summery dresses can easily be made "fallish" by adding a cute jean jacket or cardigan over them. Especially, if you live in the South like me, and it's still in the 90's every day!

I paired my new maxi with a navy cardigan, brown belt, and my new gold "L" Monogram necklace! This was a perfect outfit to teach in all day!


I love getting to work along side my husband Monday-Friday, and in the ministry on the weekends, there in no great joy than to serve the Lord along side your man! :)
